Jeremy Lambeth is a development professional focused on addressing the interwoven root causes of extreme poverty for Small Island Developing States (SIDS).
A "generalist" practitioner, he engages with specialists across multiple fields integrating managerial, natural, social, and health sciences. Currently employed at the Emerging Pathogens Institute, his career interests include improving knowledge management systems, researching urban sustainability, and mentoring youth entrepreneurship programs.
As a 2010 NEURUS fellow, Jeremy worked for the United Nations Industrial Development Organization. While stationed in Italy and Austria, he created e-learning methodologies and GIS tools at the International Centre for Science and High Technology and UNIDO headquarters.
In 2011, Jeremy accepted a Sustainability Fellowship from the University of California Irvine and returned to Florida to continue his academic coursework toward a Master's of Sustainable Development Practice. In addition, he assessed a distance education platform for a USAID/HAITI agricultural training center and negotiated internet service for malaria/cholera researchers working at a new public health field laboratory.
Last year, Jeremy conducted focus group surveys in Amman, Jordan for the Water and Livelihoods Initiative and returned to Port-au-Prince to study sustainability, language and culture as an NSEP Boren Fellow.
